At AVIA clinic we know that NHS surgeries can struggle to get some important things done outside their core NHS work in a timely manner leading to delays and anxiety.

We offer numerous additional services including:

  • DVLA medicals
  • VISA medicals
  • Private sick notes
  • Capacity Assessments
  • Fit to Fly/Travel Forms
  • Firearm licences
  • Insurance forms
  • To whom it may concern letters including university, place of work, travel letters
  • Fees for these forms depend on the complexity, length of time needed to complete and whether any additional information is needed from your NHS surgery (with your consent.) As a general rule the fee will likely be the same as the length of one of our in person appointments (routine or extended.)
  • If you have any forms needing completion, not listed above, please contact us and we will gladly see if we are able to assist.
  • Most clinics charge additionally for letters on top of your consultation fee. If you require a letter, following a consultation, we will not charge additionally for this.
  • We can also carry out most of these services remotely by receiving and sending documents securely via email where face to face examinations are not needed.
  • Please contact us for more information to discuss booking an appointment so that we can help with your requirements ASAP without the need to wait for your NHS surgery.

The following services are also available in person. Please ensure you bring a copy of your GP NHS Summary or NHS App to help complete assessments.
A small discount is on offer for cash payments.
  • DVLA Forms: £50 card, £45 cash
  • Fit to Fly Certificate: £50 card, £45 cash
  • Firearm Licence: £55 card, £50 cash
  • Insurance Forms: £55 card, £50 cash

Dr Viraj Popat

Dr Popat graduated from the University of Birmingham and has broad experience across multiple specialties, with a special interest in dermatology and minor surgery. He has completed advanced training in dermoscopy, aesthetics, and trichoscopy, and has contributed to dermatology research and education.

Alongside his clinical work, he has developed an interest in healthcare innovation, completing a diploma in health tech. Dr Popat is also the Communications Lead for the RCGP Junior International Committee. Outside of work, he enjoys running marathons, playing football, and performing stand-up comedy.

Dr Garima Singhal– Private Doctor Coventry

Dr Singhal qualified in India in 2003. She is highly skilled in the management of all womens health including menopause treatments having trained in obstetrics and gynaecology and obtaining her MRCOG before completing her GP training in Leicester. She is also a dedicated GP trainer. She enjoys reading and walking in her spare time as well as spending quality time with her two daughters.

Dr Wilson graduated from Sheffield University in 2013 and completed her GP training in Coventry in 2018. She has specialist interests in both joint conditions and palliative care. She also is passionate about medical education and is a NHS GP trainer. Outside of work she has a young family and tries to fit in baking and reading when time permits with the little ones!

Dr Khosla graduated from Kings College in 2013, Dr Khosla undertook his GP training in Surrey. He has worked in both the NHS and private sectors where he has held several leadership roles. These included being clinical lead for frailty medicine in his local NHS ICB as well as clinical lead for a private practice. As Medical Director, Dr Khosla will combine his skills seeing patients as well as driving the practice forward to ensure we are continuously offering the best. Dr Khosla has a passion for medical education and has achieved a masters in medical law and ethics. He spends his spare time with his young family exploring Warwickshire, as well being a passionate supporter of Chelsea FC and the Mclaren F1 team.

Dr Jaspal qualified at the University of Dundee in 1993. As practice CEO he in charge of operative excellence and practice management and is passionate about providing the very best private care to our patients at AVIA clinic. It was Dr Jaspal’s vision to create a private practice that combined outstanding medical care with the best clinicians on offer with an affordable price compared to other providers. In his spare time he enjoys golf and spending time with his loved ones.
